1. What they are
Cookies and local storage are small pieces of data stored in your browser. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work; others may only be used with your permission.
2. Strictly necessary
They are always on because the site does not work without them. They are never used for measurement or advertising.
- Authentication session (local storage): keeps you signed in. Kept until you sign out.
- bemtrato.locale (cookie and local storage): remembers the language you chose. Up to 12 months.
- bemtrato.consent.v1 (local storage): stores your privacy choice so we do not ask again. Until you change it.
3. Measurement (analytics)
BemTrato provides for anonymous, aggregated measurement that is only switched on after you explicitly accept. No measurement provider is configured at the moment, so no measurement cookie is set, even if you accept.
If a provider is enabled in the future, this policy will be updated beforehand with the name and duration of each cookie.
4. Marketing and advertising
BemTrato does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Third-party pages
Payment of BemTrato Pro subscriptions takes place on Stripe's secure page, which may use its own cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention, under Stripe's policy.
6. Managing your preferences
On your first visit you can accept measurement, refuse it or manage preferences, all with equal prominence. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Privacy and cookies" in the footer. You can also clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings; you will then need to sign in again.
